During this past year, the WNS has had a very varied attendance that has included 79 different alumni from GWHS classes, representing the following years..  1943,1947,1949-1956, 1958, 1961-1972. 
While the gathering has averaged about 19-20 people, there have been as many as 31 and only as few as 13 of our former classmates attending any one of these functions.
Even though we're reasonably happy at the Squire Rockwell's location, we continue to encourage additional input and ideas on different places to hold the WNS which have ample parking, a varied menu and in a centralized and easily accessible location.
Donna Teter and her husband John have made inquires into the facilities provided by the restaurant in the newly renovated Radisson Hotel at the corner of Fairfax and Montgomery Streets in downtown Alexandria and also recently checked out King Street Blues in Alexandria. They will report back at the next WNS on their experience and impressions. 
Along other lines, Don Banister is also trying to plan a CRAB FEAST dinner at one of the local CRAB houses, but I do not have any more info on this as this time.
We a looking forward to a good turnout for the next WNS on August 7, in order to get a solid majority opinion from the group on just where we should go with the Social.

• The organizers of the GWAA Wednesday night social, held the first Wednesday of each month at The Main Street Restaurant in Annandale, went out of their way for the December-January Social.  The 25 (or so) people attending were treated to a fun evening, good food, good socializing, good memories of GW, and SANTA CLAUS. Santa handed out gifts to those who were lively enough to sit on his lap AND have their pictures taken with the good natured Santa.
